This past spring, Strid assembled a remarkable sophomore campaign during which he registered 41 goals to go along with 25 assists and was named as a 2^nd Team All-Catholic League selection. Strid used the momentum from that stellar 2026 high school season as a springboard for an outstanding summer circuit that increased his recruiting stock significantly. In June and July, Strid was a serious matchup issue for opposing defenses. His length, solid frame and filthy stick skills made it difficult for short sticks to defend him. On the other hand, his speed and cut-back abilities made it impossible for lumbering poles to get stops against Strid. In addition to getting downhill and then scoring on the move, Strid proved to be a lethal step-down shooter too. This lefty also demonstrated that he could operate at X and dodge for goals or feed cutting teammates. As a bonus to his offensive skills, Strid’s relentless motor and ground ball work produced a slew of “garbage into gold” scoring chances.   

Strid is a fast and shifty offensive prospect with filthy stick skills who can play attack or midfield. At attack, the left-handed Strid thrives in the low lefty spot. From there Strid is impossible to stop on catch and fire plays at GLE. Strid is also a master at sweeping around from X, receiving a pass, and then finishing around the crease. This season Strid (41G & 25A) demonstrated that he could operate as an initiator or feeder from X too. At midfield, Strid owns the explosiveness and moves needed to sweep across an opposing defense and then shoot or distribute on the run. Strid’s ability to dodge from up top going to his left or right keeps defenders guessing. Strid can also crank step downs into the net from long distance. College coaches will drool over Strid’s ability to pass and shoot with both hands.
