Cam Weber is one to keep an eye on at Gonzaga as he battles for more runs in his junior year. With his blend of size, athleticism, and feel, he plays at a speed where the game comes easy to him when he is feeling confident. Most of his goals come from getting his hands free off the dodge. He loves to go down the alley to let one go on the run or by turning the corner from GLE. The rest come off the catch, where he times his cuts well and slips into soft spots.
He’s confident with both hands, whether he’s letting it go on the run or stepping into a cleaner look. His release has some pop to it, and he can flat-out blow it past goalies when he gets his hands free. Around the crease, he uses fakes to move goalies and has shown he can regularly finish after he gets them moving. As he sharpens his consistency, he has the tools to grow into a full-package offensive midfielder.
