played far beyond the label at the IL Summer Derby. The lefty was a high-impact presence all over the field, thriving as a true two-way midfielder. Whether it was clearing the ball with punt-return-like speed, scoring in transition, or finishing on the extra-man unit, Gilp constantly found ways to influence the game. He was especially impressive between the lines, consistently coming up with tough ground balls and making smart, under-control decisions in unsettled situations.
