KHSAA Final Four Set

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Monday, May 19th, the lacrosse community of the Bluegrass State will descend upon Collins High School in Shelbyville, Kentucky, where four teams will be fighting for a chance to play in Wednesday's inaugural KHSAA state championship game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Massive storms swept across the Commonwealth on Friday night and moved all four quarterfinal games to Saturday afternoon. The matchup in which most had their eyes on was the Trinity Shamrocks facing the St. Xavier Tigers on the road. Bitter rivals, the Shamrocks and Tigers are the perennial powerhouses in the state. On Saturday, and when it mattered most, it was Pete Schroder's Trinity squad that came out on top over the Kevin Doherty-led Tigers. St. Xavier won the regular season meeting 12-9 in a contest that Trinity controlled for a good portion before a big third quarter Tigers run saw them pull away. In this second meeting of the season, Trinity didn't leave any breathing room for the Tigers as they left Poplar Level Road with an 11-9 victory in hand and their season extended.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In Bowling Green, South Warren prevailed against Manual 11-10 to advance. In Northern Kentucky, the visiting South Oldham breezed by Dixie Heights 23-4.
