There have been a handful of LVLA games played since I last updated the Power Rankings.

1. Palo Verde Panthers - Palo Verde is back on top after defeating Bishop Gorman by a score of 10-8 last Friday. Overall, they have looked very consistent on offense and they have a solid defensive unit consisting of Clay Ohlson, Chris Whitman, Carter Jost, Robbie Pruitt, Nick Lakhdari and Jace Mims. If they start coming out a bit faster, they'll likely win by even bigger margins. At the moment, they are the favorite to take home the state championship.

2. Bishop Gorman Gaels - Bishop Gorman took a commanding 6-1 lead against Palo Verde and unfortunately let it slip away. Although it was a tough loss, it happens. Hopefully they can regroup and collect a few more wins before the playoffs roll around. Their next game is tonight against Santana (CA).

3. Coronado Cougars - Coronado is still in the #3 spot in my power rankings. They fell to Bishop Gorman 14-10 a couple weeks ago. But they also just beat Centennial for the second time of the season last week. Their next game will come against Faith Lutheran on Thursday at 7:30.

4. Faith Lutheran Crusaders - Faith Lutheran has picked up 2 wins so far in April. They took down Sierra Canyon by a score of 10-6 and they also beat the Pirates. If they want to move up the rankings, they'll have to beat the Cougars on Thursday night.

5. Centennial Bulldogs - Centennial recently grabbed their first win of the season up in Washington against Juanita. They will play Faith Lutheran next Tuesday at home.

6. Pinecrest Sloan Canyon Pirates - The Pirates haven't picked up a win in the varsity league yet. But they are unbeaten in the JV league. They will compete against the undefeated Palo Verde JV team tonight.
