2028 South Rankings: Top 75 Juniors + Watchlist

After releasing both the 2028 National and Midwest rankings last week, it's time to turn to the South region.

The region produced two five-stars— Wayte McKnight Wayte McKnight 5'11" | 160 lbs | A | Right Hand Episcopal School of Dallas | 2028 #7 Nation TX and Mason Kennedy Mason Kennedy 6'5" | 200 lbs | LSM/D | Right Hand Lassiter | 2028 #22 Nation GA —and seven more who cracked the Top 100 national rankings. The South is absolutely loaded with Division I talent, and as the 9/9 contact period begins, expect a ton of programs to tap into this deep class.

I featured a ton of players last month, and plenty more will be highlighted in the coming days. Take a look at them below:

Southern 2028 Defenders Bringing the Heat (8/12)

Midfield Heat: The South's 2028 Class (8/13)

Southern Firepower: 2028 Attackmen to Watch (8/14)

Five More 2028 Southern Defenders Building Momentum (8/19)

As stated on our "How We Rank" page, the rankings project a player's future collegiate potential, not their current ability. If you or someone you know deserves consideration for the next edition of the Class of 2028 South rankings, feel free to send a testimonial and film to michael@preplacrosse.com.
