He was a threat to score in transition and made defenses pay whenever they gave him even a little too much time or space. He also used his burst effectively to shake defenders and proved capable of scoring with both his left and right hand. Beyond his shooting ability, Segler worked hard to win ground balls, which helped his team extend possessions at key moments throughout the season.

Competing in the Nevada HS Lacrosse All-Star game

[player_tooltip player_id='176691' first='Finn' last='Reber'] wasted no time making noise at the high school level as a freshman. He has a next-level feel for the game and consistently puts himself in positions to either score or set up his teammates. His finishing skills are also impressive, and I was a big fan of how active he was as a cutter throughout the season. With his activity level and scoring prowess, Reber is a Nevada prospect worth following closely for years to come.

Competing in the Nevada HS Lacrosse All-Star game

[player_tooltip player_id='171577' first='Brandon' last='Freitag'] reminds you of a wrecking ball with the way he dodges. He has a deceptive element to his game and uses his instincts well to get to his spots. He also has a variety of moves in his bag that help him create separation and get his hands free. Once he gets a look, he can bury shots both low and high depending on where he needs to place them. McClay is a player who looks poised to catch the attention of college programs soon, as he certainly passes the eye test. He is an agile middie and a very solid playmaker. He has the wheels to burn his matchup and can let it fly with real force as a shooter. He also displays good vision and will find teammates when they get open off-ball. Beyond his offensive impact, Truax contributed defensively when needed and helped force turnovers. He is another Westward player on this list who will look to continue getting his name out there over the next few months.

Selected to compete in the Nevada HS Lacrosse All-Star game

State champion [player_tooltip player_id='177128' first='Seth' last='Salinas'] earned Second Team All-LVA honors for Palo Verde after providing a nice boost for the Panthers throughout the season. He consistently brought power, shooting ability, and speed to the table. And he leveraged those traits on a regular basis. He notably buried the game-winning goal against Faith Lutheran in overtime, while also producing several other highlight-reel goals throughout the year. All in all, he was an exciting player to watch and put together a great senior campaign.

Selected to compete in the Nevada HS Lacrosse All-Star game

[player_tooltip player_id='176484' first='Henry' last='Pack'] is another Cougar who found success during his junior campaign. He ripped shots on the run and consistently made himself available for catch-and-shoot opportunities, which he capitalized on throughout the season. It was also evident that he was always playing to win, and his competitiveness stood out. He will be suiting up for Westward this summer, where he will look to continue producing.

Selected to compete in the Nevada HS Lacrosse All-Star game

[player_tooltip player_id='177131' first='Alex' last='Connelly'], a state champion, had a phenomenal year for the Panthers. His gritty play at the X helped them play “make it, take it” at times, and he was constantly battling for ground balls whenever he didn't win the clamp. Beyond his work at the faceoff stripe, he makes the right reads with the ball and knows when to move it at the right time. With his athleticism and scrappiness, he could be a player who turns heads this summer. He is also set to compete in the Nevada High School Lacrosse All-Star Game.

In this article, I feature all of the middies and attackmen who were selected to the Second Team All-LVLA. Many of them consistently rose to the occasion for their respective teams, and they were exciting prospects whose play helped make this season a fun one to watch.
