Mira Costa Storms Back To Defeat Bishop Gorman, 12-11

It was all Gorman in the first quarter, as they went up 5-0. Executing on offense and forcing Mira Costa to turn the ball over on defense. The Gaels then kept piling on in the second quarter, and senior LSM Merek Mastrov was borderline unstoppable out there. Unleashing powerful shots from the perimeter with impressive placement. Gorman then went into halftime up 10-3. and it looked like they would likely pull away even more after the break. But Mira Costa continued to compete, and they slowly started to chip away at the lead in the third quarter. They began to win the time of possession battle and they were making the right passes once they were on the offensive end. Going into the fourth quarter, it was 11-8 Gorman. Mira Costa had all the momentum and they took advantage. Tying it up just 3 minutes in. It was then a very tight contest the rest of the way, with neither team wanting to make any crucial mistakes. Costa then called a timeout with a minute and 22 seconds on the clock. After the timeout, the ball found it's way to Gavin Turner. Who ripped one and got it go. Turning out to be the game winner.
