Below is a review of five prospects from Pennsylvania or New Jersey who recently gave their verbal commitment to a college lacrosse program.      This long and agile SSDM is an extremely aggressive on-ball defender. Bechtold's size advantage and quick lateral movements enable him to patiently wear out ball carriers. Then, when the moment is right, Bechtold is capable of taking the ball away via forceful stick checks and crowbars, as well as by taking the body. Bechtold's quick burst and active stick make him a ground ball machine. His speed and cuts-on-a-dime abilities enable Bechtold to frequently go coast-to coast for a goal or an assist. In 2025, Bechtold pumped in 15 goals. As a team defender, Bechtold executes double teams, slides, and recoveries at the highest level. Bechtold recently committed to Le Moyne. The Dolphins staff will also love all the intangibles Bechtold brings to their roster.     Garcia is a highly skilled attackman with a solid build who recently announced he will be taking his talents to Wagner College. Garcia's best weapon is his off-the-charts shooting skills. His ability to fire powerful overhands as well as sidearm rips while on the run is impressive. He is a legitimate step-down threat as well. The fact that Garcia can crank these shots from multiple angles makes him a nightmare for opposing goalies. Garcia is also a physical dodger who can initiate from anywhere in the offensive end and then bull his way to the cage for a close-in scoring chance. His high lacrosse IQ and polished stick skills make Garcia a master at working the two-man game. The Wagner staff will love Garcia's off-ball skills, too. His timely drifts, cuts, and sweeps frequently produce high-percentage opportunities around the crease.     Hayden is an extraordinary three-sport athlete who recently committed to Monmouth. On the lacrosse field, this lefty redefines versatility as Hayden can play both o-mid and LSM at a high level. At offensive midfielder, Hayden is a matchup nightmare because of his length, solid frame, speed, and nasty stick skills. His ability to initiate from anywhere on the field as well as shoot/pass with either hand is impressive. Hayden is especially dangerous when he gets downhill and rips while on the move. When Hayden flips to LSM, he is a ballhawk who can cause turnovers or pick up GBs and then swiftly get out in transition. Hayden has also demonstrated that he has a knack for executing well-timed double teams. During his sophomore campaign, Hayden scored 22 goals, dished out 15 assists, and snagged 65 ground balls.     During his stellar sophomore campaign, Keck scored 61 goals and dished out 27 assists. Thus, it should not come as a surprise that in January, this offensive juggernaut committed to D2 powerhouse Pace University. Keck is an extraordinarily quick and shifty prospect who can blow past the initial defender with ease. His split dodges and spins are especially effective moves for getting Keck into open space for a shot or well-timed pass on the run. Keck can also unleash powerful step-downs from up top. On the wing, Keck has thrived when he sweeps over the top and rips at full speed. Keck's agility and change of direction skills enable him to stop on a dime and then roll back for a clean shot attempt. In addition to his filthy offensive skills, Keck has proven that he can hustle back and play SSDM at a high level.     Shoemaker is an extraordinarily athletic prospect (also a football standout) who can play midfield as well as attack and even FOGO. This extremely versatile player recently gave his verbal commitment to Manhattan. The Jaspers are adding a downhill style offensive prospect who thrives in transition as well as at making plays in 6v6 while on the run. In both scenarios, Shoemaker can shoot or distribute with either hand. In settled action, Shoemaker is especially effective at working in two-man game action. His ability to read the opposing defensive duo and then correctly decide whether to shoot or feed is impressive. Shoemaker has also demonstrated that he can bully a defender until he gets to his shooting spots. As an attackman, Shoemaker is comfortable initiating from anywhere on the field. In 2025, Shoemaker recorded 59 goals to go along with 26 assists and was a 2nd Team All-East Penn Conference selection.
