Maryland’s Top 2027 Offensive Recruits Still on the Board

Maryland's private school scene and elite club programs continue to produce high-level talent, and plenty of offensive prospects from the 2027 class are still on the board. These uncommitted players all come from strong Maryland lacrosse backgrounds, and each has the skill set to make an impact at the next level. From big-bodied dodgers to crafty finishers and versatile playmakers, this group represents some of the best offensive talent still available in the state.    Kane has a toolbox full of skills that could benefit a lot of programs at the next level. His size, shooting ability, and lacrosse IQ stand out immediately. At 6'4", Kane already looks the part of a Division I player, using his frame to stay on his dodging path, absorb contact, and still generate quality shots.   Kane can score both off the dodge and off ball. Off ball is where he times his cuts well and uses a quick release to beat goalies before they can react. As a dodger, he shows an advanced understanding of slide packages, with the vision to hit backside cutters or adjacent fades when the defense collapses. With his size, versatility, and feel for the game, Kane projects as a prospect capable of thriving at either attack or midfield in college.     Unfortunately, a torn ACL in the spring has kept Mundy off the field and on the board, but once he's fully recovered, expect him to be a hot commodity for college coaches.   At 6'4", 200 pounds, Mundy already looks like a man amongst boys. When he gets downhill, his combination of speed, strength, and athleticism makes him a nightmare to defend. He has the power to lower his shoulder and be a physical dodger, while also possessing the skill to set his feet or let it fly on the run with heavy velocity. Add in his ability to shoot with both hands from multiple release points, along with deceptive hesitation moves, and defenders are left without many answers. If he returns to full form, Mundy has the tools to be one of the most coveted uncommitted midfielders in the 2027 class.     Evans is a versatile and highly skilled attackman still available on the board. He loves to initiate from below GLE, where he can do damage in multiple ways. Evans is an effective dodger going up the hashes, confident with either hand, and he keeps his head up to find open teammates. At the same time, he uses that vision as a weapon—freezing defenses with no-look shots up the hashes that keep goalies guessing.   Off the ball, Evans is just as dangerous. He times his cuts well and finds soft spots, especially when sneaking to the backside pipe, where he converts with fakes and quick finishes. With his combination of dodging, vision, and off-ball scoring, Evans has the skill set to be a valuable pickup for a college program.     The midfielder from Loyola has showcased his skill set well on the summer circuit, proving to be a versatile piece at the midfield position. Offensively, he excels as an off-ball player and finisher, finding soft spots in the defense and getting shots off quickly. He's also effective when dodging with a single move to create just enough separation to free his hands and fire. Between the lines, he plays with a high motor, scrapping for ground balls and competing hard on the defensive end. If he continues to add size and strength, his combination of effort, IQ, and scoring ability should attract plenty of attention from college coaches.     Perdew is a lefty attackman with a skill set and intangibles that make him an intriguing next-level prospect. This summer, he played through a broken right shoulder yet still found ways to impact games, showcasing toughness and grit that coaches will appreciate. He consistently made plays that showed up both on the stat sheet and in the little details that help teams win.   One standout moment came when he pulled off a jumping fake up the hashes that completely fooled his defender and led to an easy goal. Beyond the highlights, Perdew thrives off ball and as a finisher in tight, showing a great feel for moving goalies and capitalizing on openings. If he continues to string together slick plays and prove his scoring ability, college coaches will overlook his size and recognize him as a valuable offensive weapon.
