Trinity, South Oldham Advance to KHSAA Championship

<p>Braden Antle took the opening faceoff of the evening at Collins, went right up the middle, and sent home the first score of the KHSAA semifinals for the Trinity Shamrocks. Antle went on to go 12-for-13 in the contest versus South Warren as the fourth region champions bested the Spartans 19-0 on Monday afternoon.</p>

<p>With the win, Trinity advances to the inaugural KHSAA State championship game on Wednesday night at 8pm.</p>

<p>The Shamrocks were led in the blowout victory by a pair of seniors as Fairfield-bound [player_tooltip player_id='20799' first='Logan' last='Bryant'] and Lynn-bound [player_tooltip player_id='31912' first='Noah' last='Hollister'] combined for seven goals and 11 points in the victory. A total of 11 players found the back of the net for the Bluegrass State power as Pete Schroeder's squads advances.</p>

<p>Waiting in the other wing on Wednesday night will be the South Oldham Dragons.</p>

<p>South Oldham defeated Woodford County in a hard fought, 15-11, battle on Monday night. In that one, the Mount St. Mary's-bound senior [player_tooltip player_id='24113' first='Owen' last='Rupp'] helped make the difference as he went 82% at the dot and also added two points in the win.</p>

<p>While the Dragons lead just 4-3 at the end of the first frame, a six-goal second quarter helped push them ahead versus the Yellowjackets. Woodford County cut the South Oldham lead to two, 12-10, with nine minutes remaining but the Dragons were able to stave off the comeback effort.</p>

<p>It was a pair of juniors leading the Dragons in scoring as Harrison Ramsey and [player_tooltip player_id='24119' first='Rylan' last='Rogers'] combined to tally eight goals on the day.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">The leader of the Trinity offense indeed helped lead the way for the Shamrocks on Monday night, tallying four points off three goals and one assist. Two of his scores came off assists from fellow classmate [player_tooltip player_id='31912' first='Noah' last='Hollister'], as the connections from the two helped the Shamrocks get going early.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Rupp was tremendously impactful in South Oldham's semifinal win over Woodford County. The senior was as advertised, making an impact at both the faceoff dot and on offense. He went 24-for-29 (82%) at the dot, scored a goal, and dished out an assist.</p>
