Manhasset delivered a dominant all-around performance in a 14–7 win over South Side, showcasing precision offense, tough defense, and standout goaltending. From the opening faceoff, the Indians controlled the game's tempo and dictated play, with strong contributions across the field. South Side had moments of individual brilliance, but Manhasset's depth and execution proved too much over four quarter

The scoring opened with Philip Palumbo (#31) stepping into a deep shot from nearly 15 yards out, ripping it past the goalie to give Manhasset an early 1–0 lead. [player_tooltip player_id='30609' first='Cullen' last='Lynch'] (#17) quickly answered for South Side with a smooth hitch-and-go move, launching a lefty laser into the net to tie it at 1–1.

Manhasset struck back as Daniel Kolin (#32) took his defender down the right alley and sniped the bottom corner with a righty rip. Moments later, Daniel O'Connor (#2) found Tommy Leder (#4) for an outside cannon that extended the Manhasset lead.

O'Connor continued his strong quarterbacking from X, drawing a double and threading a pass inside to Conor Sheerin (#9), who finished with a quick-stick goal to make it 4–1.

Manhasset kept the pressure on. Dylan Scheer (#26) beat his man on a right alley dodge, drew two defenders, and dished inside to Palumbo (#31) for a doorstep dunk. Dylan Scheer #26)wasn't done on the next possession, he blew past his short-stick defender with a righty sweep and lasered one into the top corner. Dylan Scheer

South Side answered with a highlight of their own. Brayden Gamberg (#25), a pole, scooped up a ground ball, dodged through a double team, and went coast-to-coast for a spectacular solo goal that cut the deficit to 6–2.

Trying to stay in it, [player_tooltip player_id='123836' first='Luke' last='Mullen'] (#12) stepped into a lefty rip to beat Manhasset's zone, but Daniel Kolin (#32) quickly responded for the Indians with another alley dodge and finish off a slick pass from Daniel O'Connor (#2)

On a man-up opportunity, Tommy Leder (#4) threw a skip pass across the set to Palumbo (#31), who buried the shot from the lefty wing. Manhasset took an 8–3 lead into the halftime break.

South Side tried to swing momentum back as goalie Henry Griffith (#15) made a huge save on Kieran Vetter (#1), keeping the Indians firmly in control.

But [player_tooltip player_id='30609' first='Cullen' last='Lynch'] (#17) responded with another jaw-dropping moment a question mark dodge followed by a behind-the-back finish near the pipe that brought the crowd to life.

Griffith again came up clutch with a point-blank save, and on the other end, Daniel O'Connor (#2) delivered one of the prettiest goals of the game: a righty sweep, painting the bottom corner on the run.

South Side managed to claw one back when [player_tooltip player_id='123836' first='Luke' last='Mullen'] (#12) drew a double and fed John Hawthorne (#29) for a textbook high-to-low rip.

Still, Manhasset closed the door. Conor Sheerin (#9) ripped a high-to-low missile from 12 yards out to push the lead further. Griffith continued his stellar day in goal, ending South Side's last offensive pushes with more confident stops in transition.

Palumbo was the engine behind Manhasset's balanced offense. He opened the scoring with a 15-yard bomb and continued to produce in various ways off-ball cuts, man-up looks, and finishes in tight. His IQ off-ball and his ability to find soft spots in the defense made him a consistent threat throughout the game. Palumbo's chemistry with O'Connor and Sheerin was obvious, and he showed composure as a finisher.

Kolin the Navy commits dodging created problems for South Side all game. His first goal came off a crisp alley dodge and low finish, and his second was nearly identical, showing his ability to beat defenders 1v1 consistently. He also added an assist on a fast break and was involved in several other quality offensive sequences. Kolin's blend of speed and toughness helped break down South Side's defensive structure.

Lynch the Iona College commit was South Side's most dangerous player. He scored on a hitch-and-go dodge early and followed it up with a ridiculous behind-the-back finish in the second half. His playmaking drew attention and forced Manhasset's defense to adjust. He also assisted on a key second-half goal and remained aggressive throughout.

Griffith the Franklin and Marshall commit was a wall in net, especially in transition and during South Side's second-half push. He made multiple 1v1 saves, read shooters well, and helped Manhasset maintain control in key moments. His clearing game was clean, and he directed the defense vocally. Griffith's saves late in the third quarter stifled South Side's last surge and sealed the game.

Sheerin played with physicality and confidence, often operating as both a shooter and a passer. He scored on a quick-stick inside, a step-down rip from the perimeter, and a transition look. His ability to finish with both hands and change levels made him a matchup problem. His assist came on a textbook fast break feed. He was everywhere on the offensive end.
