As attention now turns to conference play in the Mid-Atlantic, now is a fitting time to go over some of the top players at their respective positions. For attackmen, we'll be splitting them between recruits known more for their goal-scoring ability as well as others that quarterback their respective offenses.

Anzelone has been a key part of the Bulldogs' offense throughout his career, but as a senior, he's looked like a man on a mission. Dodging and shooting with authority, he's confident taking on multiple defenders and firing from tight angles with a snappy release. He places his shots exceptionally well and rarely gets saved. At 6'3 and nearly 200 pounds, Anzelone knows how to use his frame to his advantage and moves rather well for his size. Poised with the ball, he's equally adept at taking his man 1v1 or dishing to his uber-talented linemates. Anzelone has posted five or more goals in three games, including five in a thrilling 8-7 win over Gonzaga on Friday night while doing so in style.

A converted midfielder, Bair kicked off the season with a bang, posting a ridiculous eight-goal performance in an overtime win over St. John's (D.C.) and beating the top-ranked '26 defender multiple times. He followed that with four goals in a big win over Bullis, and on Friday, he added a hat trick against McDonogh despite being shut off for much of the game. On Tuesday against St. Mary's, getting the same treatment all game, Bair broke free to score the game-winner. A remarkable shooter, Bair is tough to contain even when opposing game plans focus on denying him the ball and limiting his opportunities. He plays with swagger and a gritty edge, with a playing style more reminiscent of a top Long Island or Philly recruit than a traditional MIAA attackman. If I had to guess, he'll run out of the box in Chapel Hill before potentially shifting to attack, depending on how things shake out.

Simply put, Bichelmeyer is a problem. The 6'5, 225-pound Missouri native accounted for six of Western Reserve's 10 goals in a one-goal loss at Loyola Blakefield, showcasing his ability to produce in a variety of ways. A high-percentage scorer who refuses to settle for average shots, Bichelmeyer gets to his spots at will. Slides were no match for him — he powered through defenders and finished in front of the cage with grit. Incredibly nimble for his size, he has a smooth inside roll, but he's just as deadly as mid-range shooter when given time and room. He's just a load to handle, no matter the defensive effort. Expect him to make an impact early and often in Columbus.

Once an under-the-radar recruit, Maher first caught my eye as the lone uncommitted player at Best In Class' Committed event, where he piled up goals in style. Last week, he made his third commitment, choosing Brown—a program landing a smooth operator with elite stick skills, a natural feel for the game, and fancy finishing ability. Maher was a fun watch against Calvert Hall, attacking his matchup, slipping into seams to finish off-ball, and making his presence felt on the ride. The best compliment I can give him is that he just keeps getting better. His confidence seems sky-high—and for good reason.

Lucovich posted 22 points as a freshman for the Friars and hasn't just continued that success — he's emerged as a poised, intelligent presence on a Malvern offense stacked with heralded and experienced seniors. Armed with exceptional hands, his composure and field awareness belie his age. In my first live look at MP, Lucovich jumpstarted the offense with a first-half hat trick in a win over Boys' Latin, then followed it up with two goals and an assist in a 10-2 drubbing of Georgetown Prep. A crafty 6'foot sophomore, he's been stellar against one of the toughest schedules in recent memory, thriving with his off-ball savvy and elite finishing around the cage. Lucovich is sure to be among the most highly recruited ‘27s come September.

In the fall, Metz showed signs of expanding his toolkit as a dodger and looked primed for another huge spring. So far, the Notre Dame-bound lefty has delivered. Metz put on a show against Gonzaga, filling up the stat sheet and flashing some serious skill — none more impressive than one of the filthiest groundballs I've seen all year. He scooped it one-handed in traffic, spun to space, and never broke stride. He added a tally on an individual tally, set up a teammate for a dunk, got topside from X for another, and notched a second-half assist. Against Haverford, he capitalized on a poor approach to sneak in from X, scored off a turnover on the ride, and iced the game with another goal. He has an uncanny feel for creating separation and getting his hands free — while he's not known for elite athleticism, his IQ and hands set him apart and will serve him well in South Bend.

After dropping a hat trick against Bullis, Morris followed up with a two-goal performance against Calvert Hall and making an impression with his future head coach, Pete Milliman, looking on from the stands. Tough, fast, and relentless, Morris dodges with purpose and plays at full speed at all times. Most comfortable on the left-handed wing, he's shown he can generate offense from anywhere on the field, though he projects as a midfielder at the next level. He thrives getting up the hash, working within the two-man game, burying shots from the wing, and attacking the rack on iso dodges up top. Morris could be a key piece of an incredibly talented '26 offensive class at Hopkins.
