On a busy weekend for lacrosse, No. 2 St. Anthony's (N.Y.) and No. 6 Culver (Ind.) met at Fairleigh Dickinson for an interstate matchup, and the Friars of St. A's would emerge victorious for the third year in a row.

Culver had a roller coaster of a game with assists coming from goalie [player_tooltip player_id='120633' first='Bodhi' last='Harmon'] and defenseman [player_tooltip player_id='19545' first='Parker' last='Sorenson']. The game was paused for about 25 minutes in the 4th quarter when midfielder Sanchez Rucker was hit near the crease. Culver responded with a takeaway from [player_tooltip player_id='19545' first='Parker' last='Sorenson'] in their pressured ride and a goal from [player_tooltip player_id='39870' first='Cormac' last='Scane'] off a hidden ball trick. While it was a great effort, it was not enough to overcome [player_tooltip player_id='14540' first='Gary' last='Merrill'] and the Friars. Here's a look at three standouts on each team:

[player_tooltip player_id='14540' first='Gary' last='Merrill'] once again demonstrated why he's the top-ranked midfielder in his class. He orchestrates this offense much like he will as a dual-sport athlete, midfielder, and quarterback at UNC. In the first half of Saturday's game, Merrill tallied four goals and one assist. His first two points came from the top center position on their man-up unit, where he showcased his impressive overhand release, pinging the top left corner. Then, from the same spot, he delivered a perfect skip-pass assist to [player_tooltip player_id='16391' first='Charlie' last='Cacciabaudo']. The next three goals came from the Friars allowing Merrill to do what he does best: dodge and create space for his shot.

Massaro shined in the third quarter, posting a goal and an assist. His assist displayed his ability to be deceptive, using pass fakes followed by a skip pass through the Culver defense to fellow attackman [player_tooltip player_id='45399' first='Danny' last='Rooney']. Gio's one goal was an assist from [player_tooltip player_id='17446' first='Jacob' last='Johnston']. It was a high IQ play where he brought his defender into traffic and hammered it home. He'll display his abilities to shoot and cut off-ball at St. Bonaventure in the fall.

In the first quarter it seemed like Culver could not escape Inzirillo. Inzirillo started the game with three impressive checks that resulted with the ball on the ground. The first was a yard sale that sent a Culver player's stick high into the sky. On the same possession, he was able to put the ball on the ground for a third time. He hunted a double team on Culver's [player_tooltip player_id='14984' first='Sean' last='Grogan'] coming from behind the cage. Chris will continue his takeaway abilities at Sacred Heart in the fall.

Parker was everywhere on the field for Culver on Saturday, finishing with a goal, an assist, and several forced turnovers. He'll have plenty of highlight reel material from this game. His goal came with the help of goalie [player_tooltip player_id='120633' first='Bodhi' last='Harmon'], as they went coast-to-coast together. Parker also made a standout takeaway check on [player_tooltip player_id='14540' first='Gary' last='Merrill'], which sparked a fast break and led to an assist on attackman [player_tooltip player_id='14572' first='Christian' last='Hogan']'s goal. In the final moments of the game, Culver applied intense pressure on its ride, moving Parker to the midline, where he came up with a crucial takeaway at a key moment.

Zack scored two goals in Saturday's game, starting with the first goal of the game off a ride. He intercepted an over pass and had a free run at the goalie. As an Ontario native, Zack has a lot of experience scoring on tough goalies. With his second goal of the game, Zack could easily be mistaken for a Kavanagh brother. He sprinted off the endline on a restart then finished the ball with a jumping question mark.

Ohio State is fortunate to have Hogan committed, as he possesses one of the most important skills needed at the college level: deception. He's a crafty player that can shoot from far and in tight. He got his first point on the board on a fast break where the St. Anthony's defender was rotating towards him. He shot it around the defender and delayed the goalie's reaction. Hogan completed a successful hidden ball trick with [player_tooltip player_id='39870' first='Cormac' last='Scane'] in the fourth quarter. He showed a hard power cradle that was enough to distract St. Anthony's goalie and give Scane his only goal of the game.
