Like Parker, Caden is unique in that he's a lefty after the draw, but he brings his own strengths to the position and is a tad bigger than his older brother yet on the slight side. His anticipation and hand speed allow him to win the ball out in front and to himself with regularity, and perhaps more notably, his athleticism and ball skills make him both an offensive threat and a reliable set-up man. As he enters his junior year, refining his versatility and unpredictability at the X will be key to standing out in a league packed with elite coaching and top-tier face-off competition.

Maloney's two-handedness is an attribute that helps set him apart, as he's got fantastic stick skills to go along with his 6'3, 185-pound frame. This past summer, Maloney made a habit out of scoring even when he was covered well, often catching defenses off guard by getting shots off with a quick flick of the wrists. He's got the range to bomb it from deep and the slickness to finish in tight spaces, and if the fall circuit served as any indication, Maloney's gotten better at using his size to his advantage. To me, he looked a lot more comfortable backing his man down or putting his shoulder down to initiate contact on his dodges. Though he's more than likely a midfielder in college, Maloney has the skill set of an attackman and is proficient in working from a variety of spots on the field.

Markovich has been a known commodity on the club and showcase circuit for a while now. While he may not immediately pass the eye test, his nonstop motor and elite quickness make him impossible to ignore on the field. One of his biggest strengths is his shot on the run — Markovich creates separation with ease and fires with precision while on the move. Speed defines his game, not just physically but also in the way he processes plays and makes decisions. Despite his smaller frame, he's tough, tenacious on defense, and thrives in transition. However, his all-gas-no-brakes playing style can sometimes lead to turnovers, an area he'll need to improve. With the Lakers graduating nearly 20 players who are now playing in college, juniors like Markovich will be expected to step up.

Another big-bodied Gilman and 91 Maryland middie, Nuermberger is incredibly opportunistic, with a knack for putting himself in the right places to be at the end of plays. On the overwhelming majority of his scoring plays, the ball is barely in his stick before it's in the back of the net, a testament to Neurmberger's lacrosse IQ and off-ball prowess. His cutting ability consistently puts him in prime scoring positions, and his height gives him an impressive catch radius, allowing him to snag passes above his head and finish in tight. Nuermberger's film and accolades from two summers ago show he also has what it takes to be a dodging and outside shooting threat. The pieces are there — if he regains that aggressiveness and assertiveness, he'll be in great shape.

At 6'4, Vesely moves exceptionally well for his size and shows a lot of potential as a two-way middie. At Maverik Showtime last June, he impressed by doing a little bit of everything — settled offense, transition, defense, clears, and groundballs — embracing a variety of roles at the most high-pressure and widely attended event of the summer. Impactful between the boxes, Vesely doesn't hesitate to get physical or stick his nose in the dirt to snuff out big groundballs and can fly upfield. He's smooth as a dodger when presented with the opportunity, separating with relative ease before snapping off shots on the run, and he's doled out some pretty assists. With how much Vesely brings to the table on defense and in the middle of the field, it wouldn't surprise me to see him in more of an SSDM/transitional role in the future, but he could go either way. I'm eager to see his continued development and what kind of role Vesely seizes this spring.

White caught my eye later in the summer at the NLF Summer Championships and New Balance Underclass Games for how well he fared going from defense to offense, which is where he's at his best. He's a long strider in the clearing game, picking up groundballs on defense, outrunning defenders, and then making the correct decision with the ball in odd-man scenarios. White seemed to play with increased confidence down the stretch of the summer, finding the net plenty both by beating shorties on wing dodges in settled offense or helping aid his team's transition game. I didn't get to see too much of his Greyhounds this fall at NHSLS, where they were split between two teams, but I'd imagine that he'll factor into Gilman's rope unit this spring.
