The Trinity Shamrock end the pre-KHSAA era of lacrosse in Kentucky on top of the Louisville-based Kentucky Scholastic Lacrosse League. The title gives Trinity and head coach Pete Schroder seven championships. It is the Shamrocks' first title since 2017.

Additionally, the win allow Trinity to finish the season on a 17-game winning streak and with a perfect 12-0 record in games versus fellow Bluegrass State teams. That includes a 15-10 regular season win over the Dragons in late March.

It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Shamrocks on Saturday morning as Trinity jumped to an early 3-0 lead and would never trail in the contest. Blake Dickamore scored both of South Oldham's goals. His first made it a 3-1 game to end the first quarter and that was as close as the Dragons ever got in the game.

A trio of Shamrocks netted hat tricks to lead the way for Schroder's squad. However, it was the Trinity defense that shined the most of Saturday morning. The Shamrocks held the Dragons to their lowest goal total of the season. It was the first time in which they were held to single digits in near a month.

Here's a look at six standouts from Saturday morning's championship game:
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"Maverick Schultz","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"6'5u0022","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_0_player_details_weight":"205","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_weight":"field_65b288425ecf6","player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"146","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"Trinity","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"Silverbacks ","_player_evaluations_0_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_0_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_0_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Schultz has not only the size and frame to be a impact defender but also footwork and IQ. Schultz helped hold Olson scoreless and never let the shifty and crafty attackman get a step on him or gain space to create. Not only would Saturday be their last shot a title but also the day of their graduation. Being one of those seniors for the Shamrocks, DeGrandi came ready to play as he helped backstop an impressive defensive outing. DeGrandi was locked in all game, playing calm and confident. Even when South Oldham did get looks on cage, the Transylvania commit was typically there to make the stop. Bryant was consistently able to win his matchup, get to the middle of the field, and get his hands free. Bryant got his first of the day early in the contest, cashing in on an assist from Charlie Horner to make it a 3-0 game.
