He plays far bigger than he is and doesn't back down, showing a willingness to initiate contact as a dodger, pick up groundballs in traffic, and dig in on the defensive end to trigger transition opportunities. A crafty and intelligent player who has a considerable amount of box experience, Charpentier racked up 32 goals and nine assists in 18 games to earn All-ISL recognition as a sophomore, and he's bound to carry over the momentum to his junior year despite inevitably becoming more of a focal point of opponents' game plans. Even so, he's so good at recognizing his matchups and attacking or knowing when to re-dodge, so he'll still find a way to consistently produce while continuing to lift his team between the lines.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["20893"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"The only explanation for Egan still being uncommitted is his hockey prowess, as he's already been named an All-ISL pick twice and is having a stellar junior season on the ice. On the lacrosse field, all he did as a sophomore was lead all ISL midfielders with 61 points and finish Top 10 overall in that category, and that's no easy feat given the level of competition. With his athletic 6'1 frame and assertiveness with the ball in his stick, he's really difficult to stop once he gets a full head of steam and is capable of going to the rack with either hand. He's also one of the better midfield passers in all of New England, constantly finding holes in defenses and taking advantage of the attention he's given before throwing skip passes to teammates. As one might expect from a hockey player, Egan's got snappy wrists and can make things happen with guys draped all over him.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["14546"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"A highly athletic throwback type, the lefty racked up 23 goals to go with 19 assists while making his presence felt all over the field and performing more like a senior than a sophomore. Watching him closely throughout the summer, it didn't take long to see that Price's compete level and endurance are virtually unmatched. He's able to do just about everything that is asked of him and do so at an exceptional level, whether he's on the wings of face-offs, becoming the catalyst in transition, or serving as a lockdown cover man at the top of the box. While he could stand to become more consistent as a shooter, it's a safe bet to predict that he will, and he's well-suited to handle the increased attention that he'll face this spring as a junior.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["20888"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Passing the eye test with his athleticism and 6'3, 190-pound frame, Tweedy drew a lot of attention from recruiters this past summer before committing to Tufts in early August, becoming one of the crown jewels of the Jumbos' class. So much can be said about how well he has developed. Tweedy missed most of his sophomore season before returning for the playoffs, then took his game even higher as a junior to help Nobles to a second consecutive ISL crown, finishing with 48 points on a team loaded with talent. He doesn't need the ball in his stick in order to be successful, making a habit out of executing gorgeous cuts and finishing appropriately. Tweedy was a tough cover on the summer circuit, routinely getting back to the middle of the field or down the alley and burying well-placed shots on the run. Named a captain, it'll be fun to see what Tweedy has in store as a senior.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["20925"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"A big reason why his team spent much of the season ranked Top 15 nationally, Friedman was the league's most dominant face-off specialist as a sophomore, going 70 percent at the X and adding three goals and two assists. More than anything, he was remarkably consistent. Bringing a cerebral approach to the position and flanked by two of the better wing players in the country, the Face-Off Factory product showed the ability to adapt and adjust throughout every game, and very rarely did he let his opponent go on a run. In addition, he's a threat with the ball in his stick and comfortable staying on the field. At Cornell, he'll join a program that loves players with his kind of skill set.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["15061"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"Reclassing and transferring from Wellesley HS to Noble u0026amp; Greenough for the '22-'23 school year, Grosso's addition turned out to shot in the arm for the Bulldogs, especially considering the wealth of capable offensive weapons on the roster. At 5'8 and 160 pounds, the 3-star Virginia signee is far from the prototypical ACC face-off man, but as a former offensive player, he possesses a rather unique skill set. There are times when he tends to get overpowered by bigger matchups, however, Grosso has shown the ability to scrap for 50-50 balls and turn into a menace when he isn't able to come up with the possession.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":6,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65f1e7b57c12e"} /-->

On a national level, very few leagues stack up to the Massachusetts-based ISL, a conference known for producing parity and tons of college-bound talent.

With a phenomenal Class of 2023 now playing at the next level, we're taking a look at the league's top returners from last year's All-ISL list, starting with the midfielders and face-off specialists.
