Welcome to Prep Lacrosse
Welcome to a new era of high school lacrosse and recruiting coverage on PrepLacrosse.com!
I couldn't be more excited to join the team at Prep Network and embrace the opportunity to change and expand the way that lacrosse is covered at the high school level.
It is both our mission and intent to work tirelessly to provide extensive coverage and well-deserved exposure to lacrosse recruits who hope to play in college, regardless of level.
Recruiting never stops, and neither will we. Daily and year-round analysis — without the conflicts of interest that exist at other publications in the sport — is what will set Prep Lacrosse apart.
Our scouts and writers will be positioned in every region of the country and countless states to shine a light on as many prospects as possible, taking in high school games, showcases, and club tournaments beyond just the traditional hotbeds, with event film utilized more than so talent doesn't slip through the cracks.
Prep Network's subscription model allows us to employ as many as 400 part-time scouts and contributors across all sports to give exposure to more student-athletes than any other website, with established brands in football, basketball, volleyball, and soccer.
A subscription to PrepLacrosse.com costs just $120 per year and directly impacts our ability to expand high school lacrosse coverage and retain a respected network of scouts. Without them, our coverage doesn't exist, so although some may be resistant to such a change (and another paywalled site), that subscription is an investment in our ability to maintain the quality, reach, and volume of content that we aim to provide.
There will still be components of the site that won't be behind a paywall, but here's a look at some of what you'll have access to as a Prep Lacrosse subscriber:
— National and regional player rankings
— A growing player database featuring thousands of player profiles
— Extensive year-round coverage of recruiting events
— In-depth analysis of recent commitments and top classes
— Game analysis from in-person and film evaluations
— Interviews with top prospects and coaches
Keep in mind that this is just a starting point, and everything will be a continuous work in progress, but we'll need your help to get there. Players, parents, high school coaches, and club directors, make sure to claim and edit profiles with updated information if you already have one, and for those that don't, please create one so that we can have you included!
Currently, rankings reflect Inside Lacrosse's Top 50 before each class became recruitable, meaning that the Class of 2024 was updated on September 1, 2022 and the Class of 2025 Top 50 was posted on the same date of this year. During the next few weeks and months, we'll be updating those rankings and publishing a Top 100, so make sure you subscribe to get exclusive access to the rankings. In addition, we'll also be rounding out commitment lists, a feature that won't be behind the paywall.
I'm incredibly excited to have experienced writers like Dan Arestia and Dan Aburn on board as we launch Prep Lacrosse, and we'll always be looking for qualified, passionate, and knowledgeable scouts with an eye for talent and the desire to provide athletes with the exposure that they deserve. If you or someone you know is interested in contributing, please submit an application here.
