Douglas, who has an offensive skill set that allows him to excel both below and above the goal line, looked particularly impactful in a two-goal outing late in the day against Taft. After kicking things off by shooting right to the goalie’s stick, he bounced back by scoring a goal that drew quite a reaction from the sidelines, utilizing his 6’4 frame and putting his shoulder down to send his defender flying. He seemed super poised and confident, always dodging with his head up while scanning for cutters. Having put out some quality film as a sophomore, Douglas seems like a young offensive recruit bound to step into a bigger role as a junior.
