Ackerly is a speedy, scrappy, smart, multi-sport athlete. He has the unique ability to read offenses, disrupt passing lanes, and force turnovers before the offense has the ability to settle the ball. He wins possessions in brawly situations, closes gaps quickly, and transitions from defense to offense with an explosive pace. His speed is his best attribute, in my opinion; his recovery and re-engagement are incredible because of it. Might I add, Ackerly also leads his team in ground balls.
