With the Cardinals’ program in great shape from a defensive depth perspective, Younger spent last spring gaining experience on JV. Cracking the varsity rotation could be a challenge, but Younger has shown noticeable improvement since the summer and has played with confidence as of late. At roughly 6’2 or 6’3, he brings notable length and uses his long arms and sturdy frame to impose his will at GLE. When called upon to cover the ball above the cage, he’s passed the test, though he’s more likely to be a close defender at the next level. I particularly like Younger’s aggressiveness on-ball, his ability to move opponents off their line, and how effectively he uses his stick in scrums.
