New England’s Tim Howard was one of the most physically imposing defenders at the event. Standing at 6’5” with serious strength, Howard immediately makes his presence felt. If you try to dodge against him, expect to get jammed two yards back—his physicality at the point of attack is no joke. Even if you manage to gain a step, his length gives him the ability to land punishing trail and over-the-head checks. Howard also showed his two-way potential, recording an assist in transition during a big moment against the Washington D.C. squad. He’s a force— not to mention hard to miss.
