This rising freshman’s remarkable summer included being named an All-Star at the One Percent Showcase as well as being a standout performer for Team Philly at the New Balance All-America tournament. Additionally, Murphy helped Duke’s win the 2030 division at the prestigious Millon Summer Invitational. Murphy is a downhill style of midfielder who can blow past or run through the initial defender and then shoot / distribute on the run. His ability to dodge going to his left or his right makes Murphy difficult to defend 1v1. Murphy can fire missiles from the perimeter too. The quick release and velocity on his shot leaves goalies with little chance to make a save. Murphy has also demonstrated that he owns the speed and agility to hustle back and operate at SSDM for a stretch.
