The two years of varsity experience already under Hannigan’s belt are evident almost every time he steps on the field. The East Islip native is an elite decision-maker and has shown his ability to be a quality feeder at the varsity level. As time moves on, watch out for his shooting ability to get better and better. In transition, he stung a high laser right by the goalie. And with his high lacrosse IQ, he gets into the right spots and has soft hands that allow him to be a great finisher.

The freshman continues to have a lot of success at the varsity level, having racked up more than 20 points as an eighth-grader a year ago. Hannigan always seems to find himself in the right spot to make a play. In the big tilt against Shoreham, he finished with two goals and two assists. He can see the field very well, making quick passes to his teammates that resulted in goals. On the man-up, Hannigan played the low righty spot. He hauled in a skip pass and finished high for one of his tallies. His other goal came when he sprinted behind his defender for a catch and finish in transition.
