At 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Fleeger is an imposing figure on the lacrosse field. In addition to his size, over the weekend Fleeger also displayed good speed, solid stick skills and the ability to play close defense or LSM. Fleeger caused turnovers by taking the body and via heavy stick checks. When he was defending 1v1, Fleeger was a menacing on ball presence thanks to his smooth lateral movements and ability to stay on a ball carrier’s hands. His high IQ, timely slides and communication skills made Fleeger a plus team defender too. Still, the skill set that really popped about Fleeger was his elite ground ball skills. Whether he was in a scrum or in open space or on the wing during face offs, Fleeger showed a nose for the ball as well as a polished ability to scoop up the GB and then dash to open space.
