During the 2025 season, James was a starter for Scranton Prep and boasted a save percentage of 60%. Then in June he put his name on the recruiting map with a breakout stretch of play of across Scranton Prep’s 2A state tournament run. Thanks to his explosive hands and active stick, James easily covers the top side of the cage. His quick, but controlled drops enable him to deny low shots too. James specializes in catching and controlling shot attempts cleanly. Those clean saves enable James to swiftly trigger transition opportunities with his smart clearing passes. His poise and quick reactions enable James to locate rebounds and then pounce on the loose ball. James’s high IQ and clear communication skills keep the defense in front of him organized.
