The runner up in the 2025 NCAA D3 tournament is adding a LSM with a versatile skill set who can have an impact at both ends of the field. On defense, Mendez’s speed and polished footwork enable him to pressure ball carriers on the perimeter and behind the cage. His crafty pokes, stick checks, lifts and can openers produce a slew of turnovers. After Mendez has pounced on the ground ball, he will sprint into the offensive end and lead the fast break. His transition passing skills are especially impressive. Mendez has also shown that he can trigger a fast break with a precise pass up the field. Additionally, Mendez is an extraordinarily effective as a wing on face offs.
