For 2026, this sophomore is the projected starter in net for the defending 3A state champions and from what I have seen, Depetris is ready to meet that challenge. Depetris is an extremely athletic goalie prospect who has also operated as a SSDM and plays football too. That athleticism combined with his aggressive style leads to Depetris frequently popping off his line for clean saves. Depetris’s fast hands and active stick enable him to cover the top corners. Meanwhile his rapid but controlled drops put a stop to any low shots. On the rare occasion where a rebound occurs, Depetris is quick to pounce on the loose ball. Once Depetris has the ball in his stick, he will deliver a swift and precise outlet pass that triggers a fast break opportunity. The fleet footed Depetris also will not hesitate to clear the ball himself.
