Expect Morozov to be at or near the top of the list at the shortstick defensive midfield position for a lot of top-flight Division I programs. After helping the Cardinals to a MIAA championship in the spring, the two-sport standout put on a show at NHSLS and was named All-Tournament after an outstanding two days. He made a living showing his physicality: at one point, Morozov put opposing dodgers on the ground twice on one possession. He clearly embraces his role and plays with an ever-present edge, routinely putting dodging middies in a seatbelt to the point that offenses look to avoid going at him. Quite frankly, I’m not sure I saw him get beat once. Morozov is said to have two-sport interest from at least one service academy, though his phone is bound to be busy come September.
