Expert Analysis
CJ Mezzatesta | Prep Lacrosse Scout
Mason Pollin is a dependable goalie from St. John’s College High School who anchors the Next Level defense with size, athleticism, and poise. Standing at 6’3”, Pollin presents a tall, intimidating presence in the cage while still having quick hands that allow him to make difficult saves look routine. His ball-stopping ability is excellent, but his impact extends well beyond the crease. Pollin’s clearing ability is arguably his greatest strength, as his height and vision allows him to see over the ride and move the ball upfield quickly after saves. He consistently jumpstarts transition and puts pressure on opposing teams before they can get set defensively. Pollin’s combination of presence, athleticism, and decision-making makes him a true tone-setter on the back end.
