A good-looking athlete who was sticky on opposing dodgers and consistently gave them fits, Everette showed plenty of encouraging flashes during Friday night’s Final Say showcase. He’s a well-rounded defender with good instincts, sound stick work, precise checks, and the mindset and disposition you want to see at the position. He was almost always in position to make a play and showed solid ability with the ball in his stick, too. Everette did a nice job defending on the perimeter and closing out on shots, but he was equally tough to beat closer to GLE. It looks like he missed some time as a freshman, but he made his presence felt when he was on the field. While I didn’t get to see as much of Everette as I did some of the other defenders in this piece, he certainly showed enough to make me want to see more of him in the coming weeks.
