Robinson, who plays for former Princeton head coach Chris Bates at St. Andrew’s, became yet another highly touted recruit to pick the Tigers when he announced his decision on the 18th. Interestingly, he was one of two Ivy League commits on his high school roster, stepping in and playing when current Brown freshman Thomas White was sidelined by injury as a senior. From there, Robinson was flat-out ridiculous on the summer circuit, excelling at showcases and with the Annapolis Hawks. Coaches who have worked with him rave about his positive energy and coachability, attributes he combines with high-level athleticism, sound fundamentals, and tremendous hand speed. He’s as steady as they come, with a knack for stymying would-be scorers on the doorstep before triggering transition with quick outlets. At Princeton, he’ll compete with another fantastic goalie recruit in New Canaan’s Jack Crowell, who ranks in the Top 25 of the senior class. Robinson, though, has every reason to feel confident in his ability to earn time, and he should only continue to improve and add to an already strong body of work in the years to come.

The Iron Bowl was a strong setting to evaluate some of the top goalies in the 2028 class, and Luke Robinson belongs in that conversation. Even though his day ended with five goals allowed and a handful of saves against Hilltop in the championship, I thought he came away with several stolen saves throughout the event. Trending well since the spring and into Showtime, Robinson stood out most with how well he handled low shots and chances in tight. He also showed comfort with the ball under pressure, and his release helps him get it out quickly, on a line, and deep without much effort.

Luke Robinson brings a dynamic, athletic presence to the crease and is one of the most explosive goalies in his class. He plays with confidence and urgency, staying active around the cage and consistently making plays with his footwork and quick reactions. Luke is decisive on his clears, pushing transition by getting the ball out early to break defenders. His athleticism translates directly into elite shot-stopping ability, allowing him to make acrobatic, high-difficulty saves that swing momentum. Whether he’s tracking a low-angle shooter or reacting to point-blank attempts, Luke consistently elevates his team with timely stops and poise under pressure.
