The defender from Greenwich showcased skills well beyond his years during The Preview, standing out in matchups against both Duke’s LC and BBL. On ball, he applied excellent pressure, forcing multiple turnovers without overcommitting or compromising position. Off-ball, his stance and awareness were equally impressive. He showed a strong grasp of slide packages and, more importantly, the timing to know when to rotate and when to jump on vulnerable matchups. One of his best moments came in the third quarter, when he demonstrated elite ground-ball ability and composure under pressure. Outnumbered near the midline by multiple BBL attackers, he managed to goose the ball free and start transition, eventually assisting Alexander Chang Alexander Chang 5'11" | A | Left Hand Bergen Catholic | 2029 NJ on the other end. With his IQ, confidence, and competitive edge, Golden looks like a future defensive leader and one of the more advanced 2029 prospects on the field.
