Davis has been on the radar for a couple years now. After what was a very strong freshman campaign in 2024, the young defender continued to impress as a sophomore this past spring. He not only has good size, length, and athleticism, but knows how to use it. Davis doesn’t have to get physical to be pest on defense. While he has developed best down low as a consistent on-ball defender, Davis can make an impact at both close and LSM.
This past spring, Davis recorded an identical number of 43 ground balls and caused turnovers.

After coming onto the high school scene in the Bluegrass strong as a freshman a year prior, Davis continued to impress as a sophomore. He has shown to be one of the best young defenders in the Commonwealth. Having caused 43 ground balls and grabbing 43 ground balls this past spring, Davis has shown to be a steady on-ball defender. He’s only gown in his patience and technicality.

A very strong defender, Davis has only grown in his sophomore season to follow what was a exceptional freshman campaign last spring. Davis is very good on-ball and can cause trouble for his matchup, but he also shows strong attributes in other areas as a more versatile pole. He has grabbed 17 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers thus far.

Davis made a name for himself across the Bluegrass with an exceptionally strong freshman season last spring with the Fredrick Douglass Broncos. A disrupting pole, he can be tough on-ball and also knows how to work the passing lanes off-ball. He caused 40 turnovers and collected 55 ground balls last season.
