Over the weekend Squire impressed with his ability to play LSM and midfielder. At LSM, Squire’s speed, active stick and refined footwork enable him to pursue ball carriers on the perimeter and then cause turnovers with pokes as well as lifts. When the ball hit the turf, Squire was quick to snare the GB and then push a transition opportunity. His crafty stick maneuvers carried him deep into the offensive end where he was a threat to shoot or distribute. Over the weekend Squire also picked up a short stick and showcased his ability to work as two-way midfielder. On offense Squire excelled on the fast break and worked as an initiator in 6v6 action. His ability to run through stick checks and then crank shots while on the move was remarkable. Squire’s shot was an absolute cannon. Additionally, Squire proved he could hustle back and play SSDM at a respectable level.
