About Justin
Expert Analysis
Carey Smith | Prep Lacrosse Scout
This powerfully built, quick-twitch face-off specialist is taking his talents to UMass for college. During his sophomore campaign, Guyette won 53.4% of his face-offs as he helped push Tabor to the ISL championship game. Of course, Guyette can win face-offs cleanly and then streak into the offensive end to create a scoring opportunity. However, it is the physicality Guyette can bring to the face-off dot that really separates him from other FOGOs. He is one of the best at winning clamps and then bulling his way through his opponent as well as crashing wings in order to get into the offensive end. Then Guyette can use his speed and ability to absorb contact to run through sliding defenders for a dunk around the crease. Guyette’s solid frame and strong arms/hands also allow him to drop to the turf and rotate until he can gain leverage on his opponent and secure possession. Those assets, combined with his speed, enable Guyette to hunt GBs and snag those 50/50 balls too. Guyette will take a post-graduate year and enter UMass as a 2028.
