About JJ

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Downhill, Aggressive and If the shot is not there my head is always looking up as I understand that I need to pass up a good shot for a great shot when I draw the double.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Team First, Empathetic and Fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I coach my younger brother with my Dad in Lacrosse, Basketball and Flag Football in addition to volunteering to do clinics in our town and I also enjoy working with animals.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My teammates all respect me and look up to me. I consider myself very coachable since I am always looking to improve.

What type of college are you looking for?

Coming from a small High School I want to attend a college that is not too small however not too big and I would like to be within 5 hours of home so my family can come and watch us play. I would say 5,000 to 10,000 students is what I am looking for.

Ramsay, an LIU commit, is a tall lefty midfielder who uses his height to his advantage, consistently getting his hands free while sweeping with his left hand or dodging down the left alley. His high release point makes it difficult for goalies to track his shot. As the top midfield option for the Bayhawks this season, he will be a key piece of their offense.

The big lefty midfielder is ‘1st Team Off The Bus’ at 6’4, 190 pounds as a rising junior. But once he got on the field, he delivered for this Suffolk team. Ramsay had one of the best shots of the tournament. He’s a tough matchup for short sticks, as he’s able to get down the alley and rip that hard lefty shot past the netminder. Ramsay has great skill and plays unselfish as well. He can dish it to his teammates and recognizes when to bang the ball to get his team the best look. As the years go on, I expect Ramsey’s athleticism to increase and he will be an exciting prospect.
