Serving as the heart and soul of the WCAC semifinalists, Troy is one of the top shortstick prospects in the region, if not the entire country. After flipping from Providence to Cornell late in the summer, Troy did it all for the Falcons this year. He’s smooth off the ground and provides a huge boost on the wings of face-offs, and once the ball is in his stick, he’s often off to the races and is hard to keep up with. As a defender, he’s just as effective as a longpole. Troy pushes dodgers off their line and moves impeccably well laterally, matching feet with high-level athletes and forcing turnovers. With his combination of athleticism, physicality, and defensive principles, Troy should put himself in the mix for early playing time with the Big Red.
