About Jake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I describe my gameplay style as very fundamental. I see the field very well. What I mean by that is I know what's going to happen, and I call things out before. I am a very vocal lacrosse player on the field. I believe that if you're not talking the whole time, you don't know what's going on.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is that I always want to get better. It sucks losing, but you learn from it. I am very coachable. Whenever a coach tells me I can do something different or better, I take their advice.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of the Red Cross Club.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

My best quality is my leadership. As a freshman, I was thrown into the fire, and the upperclassmen had no leadership. My coach was so hard on me because no one else was. It was probably the best thing that could have happened, as I now lead the team while trying to compete and improve everyone at the same time.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As I meantioned before there was no leadership my Freshman and Sophmore year there was no leadership. My coach would always scream at me during practice, to film to games to club practices and games. It was the greatest blessing I've had. I got so down on myself about how I wasn't a good player because my coach would always be screaming at me for any little mistake I would make, or not even me
