About Jackson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play smart and disciplined defense, while being physical and fast, and pressing attack-men causing turnovers.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am well rounded and coachable with a strong work ethic and I am always focused on improving my game. Off the field I am respectful, responsible and always eager to learn.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At Saint Joes, I am involved in a couple of clubs such as Ambassador club which helps incoming freshman learn about the brotherhood. In addition, I am in sandwich making club which makes sandwiches for the underprivileged. I also volunteer my time at the local ShopRite to raise money for the community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

During my community service I have learned the value of helping people who are less fortunate. This reminds me of how grateful I am to have everything I have. Through lacrosse I have learned about the importance of teamwork and how essential it is to trust and support each other.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Throughout my career I have faced a lot of challenges that have molded me into the defenseman I am today. One of my recent challenges is fracturing my third metatarsal. I am missing 4 important fall tournaments but, I know this small deficit will make me come back stronger than ever.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that gives me the same opportunities both academically and athletically. My parents taught me that academics will always come first.
