About Hudson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an athletic defender with a high IQ. I am comfortable defending players of all sizes and speeds. I will do whatever is needed of me to help the team. I mostly play close D, but have been put in at LSM/wing to get more GBs for the team and I even have played long stick FOGO.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Be an athlete and play loose. And always be prepared and open to learning.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in all honors and AP courses. I work with young kids at camps and I’m involved in several community programs and service projects.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Over the years of playing multiple sports, I have developed the ability to lead by example but also have the ability to get the best out of my teammates. I feel that I have the ability to earn the respect of my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Years back I was facing kids sometimes a year or even 2 years older than me. It was tough in the beginning thinking about the age difference, but eventually it became clear to me that I was just as big (if not bigger), just as fast, and as strong as the older kids. I now go into games embracing the opportunity to show my skills every time.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m interested in a college that will allow me to compete against the best and still give me the best opportunity academically and socially. I plan on majoring in Business.

This multi-sport athlete (also plays basketball) is a versatile pole with an enormous wingspan and polished footwork. That list of assets helps Linaugh effectively harass ball carriers on the perimeter. Linaugh’s insanely long reach enables him to stay on the offensive player’s hands without over committing. His powerful stick checks and crafty pokes frequently cause turnovers. Linaugh’s long arms mean that a trail check is never out of the question. When the ball hits the turf, Linaugh is a cheat code for picking up GBs. Once he has secured possession, Linaugh’s long strides will the carry him down field rapidly, creating a transition opportunity for his team. Linaugh is also a wizard at disrupting passing / shooting lanes with his stick. College coaches will appreciate Linaugh’s smart decisions in the clearing game too.
