About Griffin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a team-first, aggressive player with superior field awareness, quick hands and great stick. Also, I'm a hard worker on the field and in the classroom. While I'm right-handed, I shoot accurately and comfortably with both hands, and I can play all attack positions including offensive midfield.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to be on the field at the end of the game with the score tied and the opportunity in my stick. When I was very little, one of our games ended in a tie. The coaches looked at each other and yelled 'brave heart', turning to us and asking who wants to do this? I said 'yes' not even knowing what a brave heart was. The rest is history. I was hooked for life on lax.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at Martha's Table, the Carpenter's Shelter and the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've had a lot of coaches and teachers over the years and the best ones - at least for me - are the ones that show us the play, set or skill, and then let us try on our own. Nothing works better that letting people learn by doing.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. June of last year, I suffered a partial tear of my hamstring that effectively ended my summer. I tried to come back in mid-July, but I had to just give my body time to heal and work on strengthening parts of my body that I'd taken for granted. Now those exercises are just part of my regiment, and I can't imagine not having those drills and lifts as part of my training.

What type of college are you looking for?

On the field, I'd like the opportunity to earn a chance to contribute, and be a positive force in the locker room. In the classroom, I hope to pursue a career in either engineering or economics/mathematics.

Griffin Boston Griffin Boston Griffin Boston 6'1" | 175 lbs | A/M | Right Hand St. Stephen's And St. Agnes School | 2026 VA is an experienced attacker mature beyond his years. He jumped onto the scene with 36 points (26 goals & 10 assists) on 60.4% shooting as a sophomore in 2023. Griffin progressed his play during his junior season revealing further growth. He can cut on a dime for the Saints & get upfield to turn the corner finishing against some of the best in the business! Boston wears the legendary #16 at St. Stephen St. Agnes which has been historically dominant (2007-2022). He has a banshee mode in the ride where he can strategically jump a goalie or defender & get the ball on the ground. Griffin is confident with the ball in his stick & is a sure feeder from X. He has a diverse skill set so he can run out of the box & operate in the midfield area. Boston will cut hard into open space & finish in the middle. He shoots with range & can knife the shoulder getting into the middle on the run. A consensus 3-star prospect. Verbally committed to Loyola.
