Finley McClintock
About Finley
Expert Analysis
Michael Campanile | Prep Lacrosse Scout
McClintock had plenty of eyes on him this summer as he split reps with one of the top-ranked faceoff specialists in the 2027 class. He held his own under the spotlight against some of the nation’s best and proved he can thrive in high-level competition. Now committed to Harvard, McClintock is a quick, athletic FOGO who reads his wings well. His tape isn’t filled with just pinch-and-pops—he can win the ball in different directions to set up teammates, and he gets to ground balls fast. His stickwork is reliable, and he makes smart decisions with possession, knowing when to move it and when to push transition. With his skill set and upside, the Crimson are getting a face-off specialist who has the tools to impact the game well beyond the X.

It was really fun to watch McClintock this past weekend, as I was able to catch three of his games where he was lights out from the face-off X. He tallied five wins in his games vs DC. Express and Sweetlax while splitting time with Dimnaku and topped those performances with seven total wins in the championship. He has good strength and skill to win the face-off forward or behind with easy and when he gets the ball he runs hard with good speed and makes smart plays with the ball. He isn’t afraid to rough it up in a ground ball pile and does a good job of using his body to box out and get low. The North Andover (Mass.) native works hard at his craft and puts it all on the line when he steps onto the field. He is the type of FOGO any team would welcome with his mix of skill, speed and strength and it will be exciting keeping an eye on his game moving forward.
