Delaney is a polished attack prospect with a well-rounded skill set. He does a fantastic job of using crafty change of pace moves and elusive stick maneuvers to navigate his way through the opposing defenses for scoring opportunities in close. Delaney can dodge from anywhere in the offensive end, but he is especially effective when initiating from the wing. His ability to dip underneath the initial defender for a run at the cage is especially impressive. Delaney’s deep bag of moves also boasts a nasty swim dodge. Once gets to the crease area, Delaney can finish with a powerful overhand or flip a sidearm shot past the goalie. In the transition game, Delaney is an effective catch and fire step down shooter. The combination of his quick release and precise aim renders goalies helpless.
