About Eli

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'd describe my gameplay style as strategic and adaptable. I like to read the situation, think a few steps ahead, and adjust based on what’s working. I’m not flashy just to be flashy, I focus on doing the little things right, whether that’s making the smart pass, locking down on defense, or communicating to keep the team organized. I stay aggressive, but controlled.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d say I’m competitive, focused, and steady under pressure. I don’t get too high or too low, I stay locked in and handle challenges head-on. I’m coachable, always trying to improve, and I take pride in being a good teammate. Whether we’re up or down, I bring the same intensity and effort every time I step on the field.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I'm the president of the Jewish Awareness Club at my school and have been since sophomore year. I’m also the vice president of the Student-Led Inclusivity Council and was selected to be a Peer Leader for junior year. Outside of school, I work as a busboy at L’Hirondelle Club and volunteer with Bridges, helping underprivileged kids.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built strong leadership and teamwork skills through my roles in school and on the field. Volunteering with Bridges has also taught me the value of giving back and staying grounded. Overall, I’ve learned how to support others, lead by example, and stay consistent in how I show up.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I made varsity at St. Paul’s but had to miss the season due to a stress fracture in my lower back. It was a tough setback, but I stayed involved, supported my team, and focused on recovery. The experience taught me resilience and how to lead even when I couldn’t play.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics and a competitive lacrosse program. I want to be part of a team with a great culture, where I can grow, contribute, and be pushed to get better on and off the field.
