Delfino is a standout multi-sport athlete (football too) who owns quick reflexes, impressive foot speed and a non-stop motor. On the lacrosse field, that trifecta combines with his textbook face off mechanics to create a dominating FOGO. Delfino’s ability to win face offs cleanly allows him to race into the offensive end and create transition opportunities for his team. He is a threat to score or distribute on those fast breaks. Delfino also does a tremendous job of alternating his exit strategies to keep the opposing team guessing. His ability to adapt and execute counter moves is impressive too. Additionally, Delfino has proven that he possesses the stick skills to remain on the field during 6v6 action. During his freshman campaign, Delfino won 70% of his face offs and scored 17 goals.
