Lawler is a lefty pole who displayed a versatile skill set at the Philly Fall HS Challenge. He did an excellent job of defending ball carriers 1v1, especially behind the net. When Lawler was in help position, he executed well timed slides and double teams. Lawler also showed that he can disrupt passing lanes with his stick. His crafty stick skills and nose for the ball produced several impressive ground ball pickups too. Lawler also proved he can clear the ball via smart passes up the field or by legging it out himself. College coaches will love the high defensive IQ Lawler possesses.
