Dautrich is your classic Section 3 attackman: undersized yet fearless, tough, smart, and highly skilled. The energy with which Dautrich plays can be felt within minutes of sitting down on the sideline for an Orange Crush game, as he’s going 100 miles per hour at all times and always in attack mode. With how well he changes direction, he’s got a beautiful inside roll. He plays within himself and seems to be involved in every scoring play, and he’s always fully loaded with his head up, looking to make a play. Dautrich racked up 32 goals and 25 assists as a freshman, so he plays with the level of confidence and poise that you’d expect from a player who put up that kind of numbers as a freshman.
