College coaches should scout this athletic, skilled, and fleet footed defensive prospect immediately. One aspect of Morris’s game that pops right away is his ability to secure a GB or receive an outlet pass and then clear the ball himself. Morris owns impressive separation speed, and enough change of direction moves to weave his way through the opposing team and carry the ball over midfield. If the opportunity presents itself, Morris will charge below the restraining line a drop a dime on an open teammate. Back at the defensive end, Morris is a technically sound pole with polished footwork and an aggressive stick. This lefty is an expert at arriving early to a ball carrier and then delivering crafty lifts, pokes and can openers that generate turnovers. Additionally, Morris is high IQ team defender whose slides and double teams are always on time. Off-ball, Morris has also demonstrated fantastic instincts for when to leave his man and deliver a timely trail check to the ball carrier.
