About Cassius

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Quick hands and good eyes. A reliable guy who keeps his head in the game. With or without defensive support. Can bail a team out of poor situations, facing a high volume of dangerous chances, with the ability to keep a team in it. Can be under siege and maintain fortitude.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mentally, I like to just focus on the game ahead rather than what has happened. Even with a potentially struggling defense, being able to move on from past shots and continue to make stops going into the late game. I just come out hot, locked in. Lead the defense in front of me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Football, LINK leadership, bowling team, and club. I received an award for academic all-conference in football.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have had to adjust to a struggling defense, which has helped my leadership skills communicatively, and keeping my head in the game and uplifting the fellas around me, even if they're struggling. Over my lifetime, I have worked on community service with my family almost every year at art festivals, working in the hospitality booth. I have worked for my father since I was a kid, doing construction

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I don't come from exactly wealthy people. Growing up, it has been a struggle, but mostly for my mother because she has always figured it out. My parents split up when I was a baby, but haven't been civil since I was eight or so. They were in a 5-year custody case, and during that case I lost my grandmother, all four of my great-grandparents, and some other friends and family.

What type of college are you looking for?

Somewhere for an opportunity to play. Even if that means I sit for a year or two, I want to play. I want a group of guys I can call brothers. Somewhere for an opportunity to potentially get away from home, even if that only means leaving Salem.
